In just five years, sponsors and participants in the Scholarship Golf Outing have raised $200,000 to fund an endowed scholarship for Detroit area high school students who attend the Wayne State University School of Business Administration.

Siobhan McMeekins
Siobhan graduated from Cass Tech. She is a full time Finance and Accounting major. She is employed part-time at Wayne State’s Office of Housing and Residential Life. Siobhan is an active leader in both community and campus organizations. She joined the Honors College in May 2009.

Lopa Patel
Lopa graduated from Salem High School. She is a full time finance major and is employed part-time at Wayne State’s SBA Career Planning Office. Lopa is an active member in her community and volunteers in her free time. She is a member of the honors student association.

Tyekingya Nichols
Tyekingya graduated from Cass Tech. She is a full time marketing major and is employed part-time at Henry Ford Hospital. Tyekingya is involved in the KYDS Leadership Program and serves on the Youthville Steering Committee. She is a member of the Phi Theta Kappa academic honor society.

Michael Ashford
Michael graduated from Cass Tech. He is a full time marketing major and is employed in the DPS’ Department of Funds & Development. Michael is an active member of his church and volunteers monthly in community service activities. He is also active in the “Make a Wish” foundation.
